Lin Zhu was born on October 22, 1987, in Wuhu, China. During her childhood, she was captivated by her father's extensive book collection, particularly the complete works of Shakespeare and French classical literature. This fascination marked the beginning of her interest in theatre and film.
As a child, Lin acted in a local mini TV play, which sparked her passion for performance arts and storytelling. She subsequently pursued a degree in Film and Television Performance at the Communication University of Zhejiang Province.
Over the past 16 years, Lin has taken on numerous acting roles and held executive positions in Chinese and international productions. Her impressive body of screen work encompasses a range of activities, from acting to securing joint financing and distribution deals for various productions. Her cumulative screen budget value has exceeded US$70 million.
