Limara Meneses Jiménez, a talented individual born in Cuba, embarked on a remarkable journey in the performing arts, graduating from the esteemed Higher Institute of Art (ISA) with a concentration in Performing Arts. Her illustrious career began at the tender age of 16, landing a co-protagonist role in the multi-awarded and recognized film "El Benny", where she portrayed Aida, the wife of Benny.
As her career gained momentum, Limara had the esteemed privilege of playing the character Natividad in the Cuban-Spanish film "Camino al Eden", earning her a nomination for best female actress at the Havana Film Festival and a special mention for her performance as a young actress at the Caricatos' awards, presented by the Association of Artists and Actors of Cuba.
Limara's impressive filmography continued to grow, as she rounded off her career with the iconic role of the pineapple in the award-winning and laureate film "Oda a La Piña", which premiered at the New York Film Festival. At the pinnacle of her career, she was entrusted with bringing the animated character Rita to life in the Oscar-nominated film "Chico and Rita", masterfully directed and animated by Fernando Trueba and Javier Mariscal, respectively.
Following her relocation to Atlanta, Georgia, Limara joined the esteemed Aurora Theatre, where she took on the roles of Ines in "Bicycle Country" and Prudencia in the play "Big Mother's Day". Moreover, she has collaborated with Cuatro Mujeres, not only performing in various productions but also co-writing the pieces and serving as the company manager.
