Biography

Liam P. Kiernan is an Irish-born Canadian novelist and screenwriter, residing in Montreal, Canada. As a published author, he has written the novels "Blizzard Kin" and "Wishbone Alley". Kiernan has also made a name for himself as a prolific screenwriter.

His directorial debut was with the half-hour comedy TV pilot "A Little off the Top", starring Sean Cullen, Greg Neale, and Phil Nichol of the renowned comedy troupe Corky and the Juice Pigs. This urban comedy revolves around the lunacy of three street buskers. Kiernan received a nomination for a Canadian Comedy Award in 2000 for writing and directing.

His yet-to-be-produced feature rom-com script "Back to the Grind" was a semi-finalist in the Los Angeles Int'l Screenplay Awards for the winter 2020 competition season.

Kiernan is currently finishing up "Patent Pending", the second installment of his planned Gibber-Jabs 13-part TV series. Projects in development include completed screenplays based on both of his books as well as several other original works.

His first feature film "Science Friction", a 90-minute science-fiction picture, was directed, produced, and co-written by Kiernan. It was launched on the iTunes platform in 2013.

His second feature film "Dieorama", a 2018 noir crime picture, was written, produced, and directed by Kiernan. It is available on Vimeo-on-Demand worldwide.

With extensive production experience in both film and television, Kiernan has also expanded his skills to include acting in both theatre and film. Additionally, he has a classically trained yet intermittently bastardized musical skill set.
