Levi Seacer, Jr., a talented American musician, played a significant role in the music industry, particularly during his early years as an associate of Sheila E. and later as a member of Prince's entourage.
Following the disbandment of The Revolution in 1986, Prince recruited Seacer to form a new touring band, and he quickly established himself as the band's bassist and backing vocalist. As his relationship with Prince deepened, Seacer began to collaborate with the legendary artist as a songwriter, contributing to several projects.
In 1991, Seacer co-founded Prince's The New Power Generation, marking a significant shift in his role within the band, as he transitioned from bassist to guitarist. He remained an integral part of the band until 1993, during which time he also participated in the later version of Madhouse.
After departing from the Prince camp in 1993, Seacer went on to pursue a successful career as a producer and session musician, working on various projects. One of his most notable endeavors was his collaboration with the gospel music ensemble Sounds of Blackness.
