Leo P. Daniels Jr., born to Leo Sr. and Audrey B. Daniels, is the eldest of three brothers, with George and Nick being his younger siblings. His journey to fame began in the 1980s, where he set numerous world records in video games and pinball, earning him the title of the most successful video game player in the United States, as recognized by USA Today.
Leo's passion for arcade games started at a young age of five, and he went on to own his own arcade chain. He was part of the first-ever video game challenge, East coast VS West coast, hosted by Twin Galaxies International Scoreboard, the official scorekeepers of video and pinball world records. As the team captain for North Carolina, Leo later became a part of the first-ever video game Olympics.
To this day, Daniels remains the team captain of the Twin Galaxies All-Star Team for the Carolinas. As a talent scout in the Carolina area, he verifies scores and evaluates skills for players applying to the annual Carolina competition, which produces the champions representing North and South Carolina at the Coronation Day Tournament, also known as the World Championship.
Leo's achievements have been featured in prominent publications such as Life magazine, Time, USA Today, and several video game magazines. He co-authored the first book on playing video games, "How to Master the Video Games," and its sequel, "How to Master the Video Games book II."
In addition to his video game accomplishments, Daniels has worked in the film industry since Wilmington, North Carolina, became a hub for movie and TV production. He has been involved with various studios, including DEG Studios, NC Film and TV Studios, Carolco Studios, and currently, Screen Gems Studios.
