As the world teetered on the brink of global conflict, they answered the call to arms, enlisting in the US Army's 118th Coast Artillery Battalion, Medical Detachment, during the tumultuous years of World War II.

Rising through the ranks with distinction, they attained the esteemed rank of Technician Fifth Grade (Tec 5),a testament to their exceptional skills and dedication to their craft. As a medic, they played a vital role in the war effort, providing critical care and support to their fellow soldiers.
