Biography

Laurence Lau has been diligently pursuing his passion for acting since 2003, seamlessly transitioning between live theatre and stage performances, television, and film. His recent repertoire includes the lead role of George in the esteemed Neil Simon play, Chapter Two, skillfully directed by Guy Stroman. Additionally, Lau had the privilege of understudying two leading roles in the new play by Peter Parnell, Dada Wolf Papa Hot, at the renowned Lincoln Center in New York City.

Lau's extensive theatrical credits also include the 1st National Broadway Tour of August: Osage County, starring the highly acclaimed Estelle Parsons, as well as numerous Off-Broadway and regional theatre roles throughout the United States. His television appearances include co-starring on CBS's Elementary and in the lead role of the pilot, Upstate. Prior to these notable performances, Lau's work included the European Premiere of The Goat or Who Is Sylvia?, directed by the accomplished Pam MacKinnon at the Vienna English Theatre in Vienna, Austria.

Laurence Lau was born in Long Beach, California, and his acting career gained momentum while playing the role of rich kid Greg Nelson on the long-running soap opera All My Children from 1981 to 1986. His character's tumultuous relationship with Jenny Gardner, played by Kim Delaney, was a pivotal storyline during his tenure. Lau's subsequent notable soap roles include Dr. Jamie Frame on Another World from 1986 to 1990 and attorney Sam Rappaport on One Life to Live from 2001 to 2003.
