Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to public school teachers, Laura Harris embarked on her acting career at a young age, initially appearing in CBC radio dramas. Her penchant for quirky, character-driven roles led her to play the iconic 1930's starlet "Daisy Adair" in the cult hit television series Dead Like Me, alongside Mandy Patinkin and Callum Blue.
Throughout her career, Harris has appeared in a diverse range of films, including Robert Rodriguez's The Faculty, Christopher Guest's A Mighty Wind, and Chris Smith's comedic thriller Severance, alongside Toby Stephens and Tim McInnerny. Her notable television credits include Showtime's The Outer Limits, CTV's Defying Gravity, and a SAG-nominated performance in FOX's 24, starring Kiefer Sutherland.
In addition to her acting pursuits, Harris is actively involved in the food justice community, having received a full scholarship to study social-ecological systems design at the University of California, Berkeley. She splits her time between Los Angeles and the Bay Area, where she continues to hone her craft and engage in philanthropic endeavors.
