Larry Rosen's early life unfolded in the suburbs of New York City, where his formative years were marked by a passion for participating in various sports and indulging in the cinematic art form, with movies serving as a significant source of fascination.

It was during his collegiate tenure at Florida State University, where he pursued a degree in marketing, that Larry first had the opportunity to handle a video camera, an experience that would ultimately ignite a spark within him, leading him to exclaim, "If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a minute of video is worth almost two million words."
