Lance attended the prestigious University of Southern California's Film School, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production. This marked the beginning of a distinguished career, as he went on to lend his talents to a wide range of projects across various mediums, including feature films, interactive video games, comic books, magazines, television movies, and commercials.
Throughout his career, Lance has worked in numerous capacities, showcasing his versatility and expertise in various fields. His responsibilities have included directing, art direction, storyboarding, concept design, matte paintings, movie posters, graphic design, 3D computer graphics, and compositing. Some of his notable feature film projects include Schwarzenegger's film "End of Days," "T-Rex: Back to the Cretaceous," a 3D IMAX film, "Noah's Ark," an NBC TV mini-series, "The X-Men," "Hollow Man," "Scenic Route," "Nutty Professor 2," and "Dr. Doolittle 2," both starring Eddie Murphy.
In 1999, Lance founded the production company "Cinemachine" with the goal of producing and directing a feature documentary on the legendary fantasy artist Frank Frazetta. The resulting film, "Frazetta: Painting With Fire," has garnered numerous festival awards for best feature documentary and aired for an extended period on the Independent Film Channel. Harry Knowles of "Ain't it Cool News" praised the documentary, stating, "It is such a great story."
In 2023, Lance joined forces with his creative partner Shane Patrick White to become a co-host of the Beyond The Process video podcast, which can be viewed on YouTube or listened to through a favorite podcast app.
