Kyle Schmid was born in the vibrant city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where he would go on to cultivate a lifelong passion for acting.
Early on, Schmid's television career served as a springboard for his entry into the world of film, where he would subsequently appear in a number of feature films, including the critically acclaimed "A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE" directed by the renowned David Cronenberg.
Throughout his career, Schmid has demonstrated an impressive range, effortlessly transitioning between television and film, and garnering a Young Artist Award nomination for his work in a number of Lifetime films.
Schmid's television credits include the popular Lifetime series "BLOODTIES," in which he played the captivating character of Henry Fitzroy, as well as the Syfy Channel series "BEING HUMAN," where he portrayed Henry Durham, and the BBC America series "COPPER," in which he played the pivotal role of Robert Morehouse.
Following a period of focus on film, Schmid returned to television, landing the leading role of Alex Caulder in the highly respected History series "SIX."
In recent years, Schmid has continued to impress audiences with his versatility, taking on a wide range of roles in various projects. He can currently be seen portraying Charlie Dick in the Lifetime film "PATSY AND LORETTA," which has garnered a nomination for five Critic's Choice Awards.
Additionally, Schmid recently wrapped production on the new Netflix series "I-LAND," in which he plays the character Moses, and is set to appear in the upcoming film "10 MINUTES GONE," alongside Michael Chicklis and Bruce Willis.
