Toshiko Nonaka, a renowned Japanese actress, embarked on her acting career as Toshiko Kôno, only to later alter her name to Kuniko Igawa during the illustrious era of Japanese cinema following World War II.
As her acting career began to wane, Igawa transitioned into a new venture, opening a café in the charming town of Kamakura, which she lovingly managed until her retirement in 1977.
Years later, after her passing in 2012, her relatives took over the operation of Coffee Igawa, ensuring its continued success despite Igawa's physical limitations, which had begun to hinder her ability to manage the café as she once had.
Throughout her illustrious career, Igawa appeared in approximately 60 films, leaving an indelible mark on the world of Japanese cinema.
