Born in 1945, in the vibrant city of Warsaw, Poland. This notable individual's academic journey began in 1970, when they graduated in law from the esteemed Warsaw University. Following their studies, they embarked on a career in law, articling as a judge and a barrister. As a result, they have been in legal practices since 1973, with a primary focus on criminal defence law, while also demonstrating expertise in family law and the protection of personal goods and chattels.
During a tumultuous period in Poland's history, they played a crucial role as a defence counsel in numerous political trials that took place during the Martial Law era. Additionally, they served as Assistant Prosecutor in the high-profile case of the abduction and murder of Father Jerzy Popieluszko. Their commitment to upholding justice and defending the rights of others is truly commendable.
Throughout their illustrious career, they have been an active member of the Barristers' Council and an Expert for the Mazowsze Region Branch of the Solidarity Trade Union. Furthermore, they have lectured law students and served on the examination committee, passing on their valuable knowledge and expertise to the next generation of legal professionals.
In addition to their legal pursuits, they have also made a significant impact in the world of film. As a co-author of screenplays for 17 films directed by the renowned Krzysztof Kieslowski, their work has been translated into 10 languages and published as books.
