Kristina Nikolova, a talented individual with a rich background, was born and raised in Bulgaria, a country with a rich cultural heritage, within a family of filmmakers, who have undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping her creative pursuits. Despite her roots in Eastern Europe, Kristina has spent the past 14 years residing and working as a cinematographer and film director in the United States of America, a country known for its vibrant film industry.

Academically, Kristina holds a Bachelor's degree in Film Theory from the University of Chicago, a prestigious institution renowned for its rigorous academic programs, and a Master's degree in Film from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, a world-class institution that has produced many successful filmmakers.

Throughout her career, Kristina has amassed an impressive portfolio, with 20 short films, 3 features, and 2 documentaries to her credit. Her films have garnered widespread recognition, participating in film festivals in Milan, San Francisco, Sarajevo, and Sundance, to name but a few. Her directorial debut, "Faith, Love, and Whiskey," made its world premiere at the 2012 Slamdance Festival, and went on to win numerous awards at film festivals around the globe.
