Kristopher van Varenberg, also known as Kris Van Damme, is the eldest child of renowned martial arts and action superstar, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and his wife, Gladys Portugues, a fitness expert and actress. This talented individual has a younger sister, Bianca Van Damme, and a younger half-brother, Nicolas, with Jean-Claude's ex-wife, Darcy LaPier.
Kristopher's early foray into the entertainment industry began with his appearance in the 1992 film "Universal Soldier," where he played the role of Young Luc Deveraux. He subsequently appeared in "The Quest" (1996),a film directed by his father, Jean-Claude Van Damme, in which he portrayed the character of Young Chris.
After a brief hiatus, Kristopher resumed his acting career in "Derailed" (2002),followed by "Universal Soldier: Regeneration" (2009) and "The Eagle Path" (2010),both directed by Jean-Claude Van Damme. In an exclusive interview with the International JCVD Forum, Kristopher revealed that he also harbors a passion for writing and directing, in addition to his career as an actor.
Notably, Kristopher made his writing debut in the 2010 martial arts epic film "The Tower," which was directed by his father.
