Kostadin Bonev

Noted Bulgarian filmmaker, boasting an impressive educational background, holds a degree in Theatre Critical Studies from the prestigious National Academy of Theatre and Film Art in Sofia, Bulgaria, earned in 1980. Building upon this foundation, he further honed his craft by pursuing postgraduate studies in film directing under the esteemed guidance of Georgi Djulgerov. This multifaceted creative force has made a significant impact in the industry, with an extensive body of work comprising four feature films and over twenty documentaries. His impressive repertoire has been recognized with numerous national and international accolades, including multiple awards for his films at the Bulgarian film festivals "Golden Rhyton" and "Golden Rose", where five of his works have garnered the esteemed Award of the Film Critics. Furthermore, he has been awarded the Prize for Best Film on five separate occasions at the annual Bulgarian Film Academy awards.
