Biography

Kiva, an only child, was born in the picturesque coastal city of Santa Monica, California. Growing up in a highly creative and supportive environment, she was always encouraged to express herself through various forms of artistic expression. Her childhood was filled with vivid memories of witnessing the renowned diva, Toni Basil, perform live, an experience that would later inspire her to work alongside this iconic figure in the film "That Thing You Do!" (1996). The film "That's Entertainment" also played a significant role in sparking her interest in the arts, while her mother, a writer, further nurtured her creative spirit by exposing her to a wide range of plays, musicals, and films.

Kiva's early career began with the guidance of her first agent, Iris Burton, who helped her secure various commercial roles, a made-for-television movie featuring the talented Brian Dennehy, and a notable episode of the popular sitcom "Taxi". However, it was her introduction to the world of ballet that ultimately captured her heart and set the stage for her future endeavors.
