Kirill Pletnev's life story commences on December 30th, 1979, in the city of Kharkov, where he took his first breath. Shortly after his birth, his family relocated to Leningrad, a city that would play a significant role in shaping his early years. It was in Leningrad that he attended his primary school, laying the foundation for his future academic pursuits.
As he grew older, Kirill transitioned to secondary school, where he continued to develop his skills and knowledge. In 1996, he made the bold decision to enroll in SPGATI (St Petersburg State Academy of Theatrical Arts),a prestigious institution that would equip him with the tools necessary to succeed in the world of theatre.
Under the guidance of the renowned Vladimir Petrov, Kirill honed his craft, eventually graduating in the year 2000. Following his graduation, he began working in various Moscow theaters, gaining valuable experience and building his resume.
In the following years, Kirill joined the Moscow Drama Theatre, a renowned company led by the esteemed Armen Dzhigarkhanyan. This marked a significant turning point in his career, as he relocated to the Russian capital and became an integral part of the theatre's ensemble.
However, in the spring of 2003, Kirill made the decision to leave the theatre and collaborate with the talented stage director Irina Kerutchenko. This new partnership marked the beginning of a new chapter in his career, as he continued to work on various projects.
In addition to his work in theatre, Kirill has also had a successful career in film, with a vast array of projects under his belt since 2001.
