Kim Krizan is a multifaceted creative individual with a strong background in both writing and acting, hailing from the Los Angeles area. During a significant period, Krizan resided in Austin, Texas, where she was an integral part of the city's thriving theater and film scene. In addition to her creative pursuits, Krizan also honed her teaching skills by instructing literature and writing at the college level.
Krizan's most notable collaboration was with Richard Linklater, with whom she co-wrote the screenplay for the critically acclaimed film "Before Sunrise" (1995),starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. The film was released under the Castle Rock banner.
In addition to her work on "Before Sunrise," Krizan also appeared in Linklater's directorial efforts, including "Dazed and Confused" (1993),where she portrayed the character of Ginny Stroud, a hip high school teacher. Her other notable film credits include "Slacker" (1990),in which she played the role of Questions Happiness, and "Waking Life" (2001),in which she appeared as herself.
Krizan's collaborative efforts with Linklater did not stop at "Before Sunrise." She also co-wrote the story for "Before Sunset" (2004),the highly anticipated sequel to the original film.
