Biography

Kevin Reynolds, a filmmaker with a passion for cinema, was raised as an Air Force brat, which sparked his desire to pursue a career in the film industry. During his time at USC, Reynolds' graduate thesis film, titled "Proof," served as the foundation for his feature film debut, "Fandango," which starred Kevin Costner and was produced by Amblin Entertainment, a production company founded by the legendary filmmaker, Steven Spielberg. Reynolds' work at USC also led to the creation of the Cold War cult classic, "Red Dawn," which was directed by John Milius.

Reynolds' extensive filmography includes directing credits for a wide range of projects, such as "The Beast," "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves," "Rapa Nui," "Waterworld," "The Count of Monte Cristo," "Tristan + Isolde," and "One Eight Seven." In addition to his feature film work, Reynolds also directed the episode "You Gotta Believe Me" for Spielberg's anthology television series, "Amazing Stories."
