Kevin E. West, a multifaceted individual from Nashville, Tennessee, grew up from the late 1960s to the mid-1980s before embarking on his performing career in Atlanta, Georgia.
He is an avid sports enthusiast, having participated in the Men's Senior Baseball World Series six times, and also enjoys playing Texas Hold-em, a serious poker game, in the world's toughest card room, Commerce Casino.
In addition to his sporting pursuits, Kevin has completed the L.A. Marathon four times and played collegiate golf at two universities during his youth.
Before devoting himself to his television career, Kevin spent his early days in Hollywood as a stand-up comic and improv artist.
Not long after his arrival in Los Angeles, Kevin founded The Actors' Network, the most recognized, trusted, and industry-endorsed actor's business organization in the United States.
The Actors' Network has received numerous accolades, including consecutive Backstage West "Reader's Choice" awards, features on Entertainment Tonight and CNBC, and has produced successful alumni such as Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Masi Oka, Christopher Gorham, and Maggie Grace.
With his wit, warmth, and wisdom, Kevin has guided many actors through the challenges of the entertainment industry, earning him widespread recognition as an expert on the business side of acting.
He has spoken at various events and conferences, including SAG, ShowBiz Expo, UCLA, SAG Conservatory, Chapman University, Cal State Fullerton, and talent conventions across the United States.
In 2014, Kevin created Dirty Laundry TV, a news program that provides a unique perspective on current events, and in 2010, he launched the Industry Professional interview series, ActorBizGuru, to educate the acting community worldwide.
Kevin has also co-authored the 2-hour CD "The Actor's Guide to Getting the Job" with Carolyne Barry, a renowned commercial instructor.
In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Kevin was instrumental in the creation of the annual Hack n'Smack, Kerry Daveline Memorial, Celebrity Golf Tournament in Southern California, which benefits Melanoma research.
The event has featured celebrities such as Joe Pesci, Joe Mantegna, Ron Perlman, and Michael Chiklis, and was voted one of the top 10 celebrity golf events in Southern California by Southland Golf magazine.
