Ken "The Snake" Stabler, a renowned football, basketball, and baseball athlete, was born on Christmas Day in 1945 in Foley, Alabama. During his high school days at Foley High School, he excelled in multiple sports, setting numerous records as a quarterback and basketball player that continue to stand the test of time.
In addition to his impressive high school career, Stabler was offered minor league contracts by the New York Yankees and Houston Astros. However, he opted to pursue a collegiate football career at the University of Alabama under the guidance of the legendary Paul "Bear" Bryant.
Stabler's professional football career spanned over a decade, during which he was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in 1970. He went on to play for the Raiders for 10 seasons, leading the team to a 1976 Super Bowl championship. Prior to his retirement in 1984, Stabler also played for the Houston Oilers and New Orleans Saints, logging two and three seasons with each team, respectively.
