Ken Weichert, a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of skills and experiences, has made a significant impact in various fields. As a Master Fitness Trainer and Master Resilience Trainer for the ARMY, he has dedicated himself to helping others achieve their physical fitness goals.
In addition to his military background, Ken is also formally trained in performing arts, having graduated from the renowned Players Workshop of Second City in Chicago, Illinois, in 1985. He has honed his skills through extensive improvisation study and performance, taking on the lead role in over 150 theatrical productions.
Ken's passion for acting led him to star in his first feature film, Silent Night, Deadly Night: Part 2, in 1987. He also shared his expertise by teaching Advanced Acting and other theater courses at the University of Southwestern Louisiana from 1992 to 1996.
Throughout his 17-year military career, Ken has risen through the ranks from Private to Staff Sergeant, taking on various roles such as Intelligence Assistant, Squad Leader, and Counter-Intelligence Agent. He has proudly served in Operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.
Ken's personal journey has been marked by challenges, including a severe back injury in his senior year of high school that left him partially paralyzed for four weeks. However, he refused to give up, using military exercises to restore his back strength and regain mobility.
In 1988, Ken joined the United States Army, and in 1993, he became certified as a Master Fitness Trainer. He later combined his theater, military, and fitness expertise to create a physical fitness program for civilians in 1999.
Ken's impressive credentials have earned him recognition as an expert in fitness, with appearances on the History Channel show Tactical to Practical and a feature on Nightline with Ted Koppel, where he shared his inspiring story from the front lines in Iraq.
