Kellie Martin is a renowned American actress born in 1975 in Riverside, California. Her parents, Doug Martin and Debbie Jett, were a retail executive and a kindergarten teacher, respectively. Martin's early interest in acting was encouraged by her aunt, who was an employee of Michael Landon, an actor and executive producer of the Western series "Father Murphy".
Martin made her acting debut at the age of 7 in a guest spot on "Father Murphy". She went on to appear in several popular television series, including "Dallas", "Life with Lucy", and "My Two Dads". Her first major role was as Daphne Blake in the animated series "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" (1988-1991).
Martin's breakthrough role came when she was cast as Rebecca "Becca" Thatcher in the drama series "Life Goes On" (1989-1993).
