Keith Wilson is a multifaceted filmmaker and visual artist, with a strong presence in both San Francisco and Athens, Georgia.
His cinematic works have been showcased at a plethora of renowned film festivals, including the Sundance Film Festival, the Berlinale, South by Southwest, documenta14, the U.S. National Gallery of Art, and the Museum of Modern Art.
Wilson's in-progress film and interactive project, the Untitled Frank Moore Project, has garnered significant recognition, with him being a 2019 North Points Fellow and a 2018 BAVC Mediamakers Fellow.
He has also been the recipient of two Kenneth Rainin Foundation grants from the San Francisco Film Society, a testament to his dedication and talent.
One of his notable short documentary films, The Tree, premiered at the 2017 DOC NYC Film Festival and was later screened at MoMA's 2019 Doc Fortnight program.
Wilson's impressive resume also includes his role as producer, director of photography, and editor for Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens' feature documentary Water Makes Us Wet, which premiered at documenta14 in Kassel, Germany.
In 2013, he was the director of photography and producer for INTERIOR. LEATHER BAR., a hybrid documentary feature that premiered at Sundance and was later released theatrically by Strand Releasing.
As a member-owner of New Day Films, Wilson has served on the Steering Committee and is also a Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley.
He received his Master of Fine Arts in Film Production from the University of Texas-Austin, and grew up on a cul-de-sac in suburban Atlanta, a humble beginning that has led to his current success.
