Keith's early life was marked by a significant event, as he was raised by his grandparents, Frank and Lois Johnson, in Blythewood, South Carolina, where he attended The Bethel School until the passing of his grandfather at the tender age of thirteen.
Following this turning point, Keith relocated to Washington, DC, where he continued his education at Taft Jr. High and subsequently at Roosevelt Senior High.
Upon completing his high school studies, Keith pursued higher education at Federal City College, which is now known as the University of the District of Columbia, where he studied at The Theatre School, now rebranded as The National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts.
Keith's academic journey culminated in his graduation from Washington International College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Performing Arts.
On a personal note, Keith is married to Mischelle Fonville, the daughter of the renowned jazz bass player, Benny Fonville. Together, they have two adult sons.
Keith's professional accomplishments are numerous, with one of his proudest achievements being the 2002 world premiere of Zora Neale Hurston's "Polk County" at Arena Stage in Washington, DC, in which he played the role of Do Dirty.
Throughout his career, Keith's work has garnered widespread critical acclaim, with rave reviews published in the Washington Post and the New York Times.
