Kayleigh Choiniere's life was forever changed when she was just five years old, as she discovered that Geri Halliwell had left the Spice Girls mere hours before her circus school performance debut. Instead of allowing her grief to overwhelm her, Kayleigh, a hard-working and sensitive Gemini, chose to focus on the show, exemplifying her dedication to performance and professionalism.
Born in 1992 in Montreal to a family of grunge-loving twenty-two-year-olds, Kayleigh was destined for a life in the arts. Her parents, who were also her teachers, home-schooled her while she attended circus school. Her love for acting was sparked at the tender age of five, when she saw the film Titanic on the big screen, with Leonardo DiCaprio leaving an indelible mark on her young heart. Her parents believed that the universe had sent them a message, and it became Kayleigh's lifelong mission to act alongside DiCaprio in the film.
Kayleigh's education was a unique blend of art and academia. She attended the bilingual performing arts school, F.A.C.E., for both elementary and high school, where she excelled as a flautist and multi-disciplinary artist. She graduated with honours from Dawson College's Professional Theatre acting training program in 2012, having played a diverse range of roles to critical acclaim.
While acting remains Kayleigh's primary passion, she is a multi-talented individual who wears many hats. She has designed costumes for stage and film for as long as she has been acting, showcasing her creative versatility.
Kayleigh is a force for good, using her talents to make a positive impact on the world. She organizes, produces, and stars in an ongoing series of theatrical charity events, benefiting organizations such as the Montreal Sexual Assault Centre, Chez Doris, and the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network. She is also a member of the ACTRA Women's Committee and LGBTQS2+ Committee, advocating for gender equity, equality, inclusion, representation, and education.
Despite her dedication to her craft, Kayleigh believes in finding balance in life. She hopes to not take herself too seriously and can often be found sipping natural wine and sharing her secrets with friends.
