Katy Perry earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting from the esteemed Carnegie Mellon University, a prestigious institution renowned for its rigorous academic programs and esteemed faculty.
She began her career on stage, performing in regional theaters and Off-Broadway productions, where she had the privilege of being part of the development and premiere of Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Doug Wright's "Quills" at the New York Theatre Workshop and Tony Award-winning playwright Steven Sater's "Asylum" at Naked Angels.
Katy's outstanding performance in Arthur Miller's "The Ride Down Mt. Morgan" alongside Patrick Stewart and Frances Conroy earned her a prestigious Fany Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut.
