Katie Leung is a talented actress who began her career in the entertainment industry with a role in the Warner Brothers feature film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. She went on to reprise her role in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part II).
In addition to her acting career, Katie has also trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She made her professional theatre debut in the role of Er-Hong in Sacha Wares' production of Wild Swans, which premiered in Boston before transferring to the Young Vic Theatre London in April 2012.
Katie has since appeared in several stage productions, including The World of Extreme Happiness at the National Theatre, where she played the lead role of Sunny, and You For Me For You at the Royal Court Theatre, where she played the lead role. She has also appeared in Tony Kushner's play The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures at the Hampstead Theatre, directed by Michael Boyd.
In 2014, Katie was announced as one of BAFTA's Breakthrough Brits, a scheme established in 2013 to recognize and support young emerging British talent. She has also appeared in several television shows, including Run, Channel 4's acclaimed drama, Poirot on ITV1, and Father Brown on BBC.
Katie has also starred in several films, including The Foreigner, alongside Pierce Brosnan and Jackie Chan, and is currently filming the new ITV series White Dragon (2018) as one of the lead characters, Lau Chen.
In her personal life, Katie gave birth to her son Wolf in 2022.
