Arkeisha Knight, professionally known as Kash Doll, was born and raised in the vibrant city of Detroit, where she developed a strong foundation from a young age. Growing up in a large family with six siblings, Kash Doll's life was marked by challenges, including the tragic loss of her father on her first birthday. Despite these obstacles, she persevered and attended Henry Ford school and later Detroit City High, although she was eventually expelled due to her behavior.
As a young adult, Kash Doll began working at an early age, taking on various jobs to support herself, including babysitting, working at Little Caesar's Pizza, and Best Buy. Her entrepreneurial spirit also led her to explore the entertainment industry, where she worked as an exotic dancer, earning up to $26,000 per night.
In 2014, Kash Doll gained recognition with her remix of Tinashe's track "2 On," which received significant airplay on Detroit's WGPR 107.5 radio station. This success led to collaborations with notable artists such as Icewear Vezzo, Trina, and Ca$h Out. Subsequently, she signed with BMB records and released her first mixtape, "Keisha vs. Kash Doll," in 2015. The mixtape, which featured collaborations with Trina, Lyrica Anderson, and B.O.B, sold an impressive 600,000 copies in its first two days, catapulting Kash Doll to stardom.
The subsequent years saw Kash Doll continue to rise to prominence, releasing her EP "Keisha Vs Kash Doll" on her own label, KashDoll Enterprises, in 2016. She also had the opportunity to perform alongside Drake during the Summer 16 Tour in Detroit. In 2017, Kash Doll announced her television debut on BET's Hip Hop Awards and revealed that she was struggling with a bad contract with former label BMB records, which prevented her from releasing new music.
In January 2018, Kash Doll announced that she had been released from the contract and was featured on Big Sean's song "So Good." Throughout her journey, Kash Doll has demonstrated her resilience, creativity, and determination, solidifying her position as a rising star in the music industry.
