Biography

Karolina Porcari is a talented Italian-Polish actress born on August 15, 1979, in Warsaw, Poland, where she spent her early years before moving to southern Italy to grow up. She received her education at the prestigious National School of Drama in Cracow, laying the foundation for her future success in the entertainment industry.

Porcari's early work in film includes the critically acclaimed "Come l'ombra" directed by Marina Spada, where she played the complex and intriguing character of Olga, a troubled Ukrainian immigrant who forms a poignant bond with an introverted Italian woman. The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2006, showcasing Porcari's exceptional acting skills.

Her subsequent roles include "Segreti e sorelle" directed by Francesco Jost, where she portrayed the arrogant yet vulnerable character of Paola, a young woman returning to her childhood village in Switzerland to come to terms with her mother's passing. In 2011, Porcari appeared in the Polish film "Roza" directed by Wojciech Smarzowski, a gritty portrayal of Eastern Europe during the end of World War II. She played the heart-wrenching role of Anna, the wife of a Polish Home Army officer, who is brutally raped by German soldiers.

The same year, Porcari made her English-speaking debut in the independent film "Zero" directed by David Barrouck, a story about a group of anarchist junkie terrorists. She played the role of Masha, a Serbian terrorist forced by the London police to dismantle her group to regain custody of her 10-year-old son.

In the following years, Porcari continued to expand her repertoire, appearing in films such as "Dzien kobiet" directed by Maria Sadowska and "Tutti i santi giorni" directed by Paolo Virzi. In 2015, she played the role of Mila in "The father" directed by Artur Urbanski, a half-Italian, half-Polish actress struggling to balance her new role as a mother with her artistic ambitions. The same year, she appeared in the independent film "Spirala" directed by Konrad Aksinowicz.
