Biography

Karina, an "unrooted actress" with a unique cultural identity, was raised by a Belgian father and a Swedish-American mother in a small town where she struggled to fit in.

Growing up with multiple cultural influences, Karina learned to navigate her identity and today, she splits her time between London and Paris, where she teaches her son Spanish and continues to pursue her acting career.

As a multilingual actress, Karina performs in Swedish, English, Flemish, and French, showcasing her versatility and range.

2018-2019 was a notable season for Karina, with a string of successful projects. She appeared in the French TV series "Sous la Peau" as Lydia, a mysterious woman living in Shanghai, and starred in two critically acclaimed short films, "Inheritance" in English and "Carré 644" in French, which she co-wrote.

In addition to her film work, Karina also created the challenging theater production "Borderline(s) Investigations #1", which explores the complexities of borders and identity.

Rounding out her impressive 2018-2019 season, Karina starred alongside Jesse Eisenberg, Ed Harris, and Clémence Poésy in the feature film "Resistance".
