Justin Wilder Neese is a multi-award-winning Director, Writer, and Producer with a diverse range of experience in the film industry. Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Justin made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles in March 2014, driven by his passion for creativity and the limitless opportunities that the city had to offer.
Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Justin quickly immersed himself in the film industry, gaining valuable experience as a production assistant on various film sets. This hands-on approach allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the filmmaking process and cultivate a desire to write and direct his own projects.
In May 2019, Justin's hard work and dedication paid off with the completion of his multiple-award-winning short film, "Glass of Scotch". This accomplishment marked the beginning of his journey as a writer, director, and producer, and he went on to form his own production company, Wilder Productions.
Under the Wilder Productions banner, Justin has written, directed, and produced a string of award-winning films, including "Hummingbird", "Dopamine", "My Melancholy Baby", and "I Miss Her Too". His latest feature-length film, "Apocalypse Love Story", is currently in post-production and is set to be released in the summer of 2023.
In addition to his work on feature films, Justin is also focused on developing episodic content. In the summer of 2022, he completed production on the pilot episode of "How to Kill a Butterfly", a project written by Cate Whitlatch and Haley Leanne Johnson. This pilot is being used as a springboard to evolve the story into a full episodic series, with Justin at the helm as director and producer.
Throughout his career, Justin has consistently demonstrated his ability to craft compelling stories and bring them to life on screen. With his sights set on the future, he continues to write, produce, and direct feature films, short films, and episodic content, always pushing the boundaries of his creativity and innovation.
