Actress and model June Palmer was born on August 1, 1940, in London, England, commencing a remarkable career that would span several decades. Her early beginnings in the adult entertainment industry took place at the Windmill Theatre in London, where she worked as a topless dancer. As a teenager, Palmer began modeling in 1959, showcasing her sweetly comely face, long black hair, and generously proportioned 38-23-37 figure, which would soon make her a popular and beloved pin-up queen in both Britain and America.
Palmer's collaborations with renowned glamour photographer George Harrison Marks earned her widespread recognition, with her appearing on the covers of and/or featuring in pictorials in notable men's magazines such as "Fiesta," "Parade," "Adam," "Beau," "Dapper," "Modern Man," "Sir!," and "Monsieur." In addition to her modeling career, Palmer made minor appearances in films like "Sex Through the Ages" (1974),"Taste the Blood of Dracula" (1970),"It's the Only Way to Go" (1970),and "The Nine Ages of Nakedness" (1969),often featuring her in various stages of undress.
Palmer also appeared as herself in the comedic documentary "The Dream World of Harrison Marks" (1966) and acted in a few "nudie-cutie" loops for Marks. After retiring from modeling in the late 1960s, Palmer made a surprise comeback at age 37 with a stunning nude pictorial in the November 1977 issue of "Mayfair."
In her personal life, Palmer married stuntman/photographer Arthur Howell in 1963, and the couple ran the Strobe Studio in Clapham, South London. However, Palmer divorced Howell in 2000 and married another man. Tragically, Palmer passed away suddenly at the age of 63 on January 6, 2004.
