Despite harboring a passion for becoming a rock singer in Tokyo, Jun's trajectory took an unexpected turn as he opted to pursue a career in acting and pantomime. This decision led him to become deeply involved in the world of theater and indie films, where he continued to flourish.
As Jun's fascination with the acting styles of New York-based performers grew, he made the bold decision to relocate to the city that never sleeps. Since then, he has called New York City his home, and his career as an actor has continued to blossom. Initially, Jun believed that actors should focus solely on their craft, but he has since freed his creative spirit, exploring a wide range of artistic pursuits.
Today, Jun's multifaceted talents extend far beyond acting. He is an accomplished writer, director, photographer, and musician, with a penchant for documentary filmmaking and rock music. As a documentarian, Jun has been an integral part of the Oral History of Japanese American in NY project since 2015, co-directing interviews that shed light on the experiences of Japanese Americans in the city.
