Julienne Davis was born in the City of Angels, Los Angeles, and at the tender age of seventeen, she bid farewell to her hometown to chase her dreams of becoming a classical ballet dancer in the concrete jungle of New York. With a passion that burned brighter than the bright lights of Broadway, she pursued her ambition with unwavering dedication, only to find herself growing too tall to audition for the esteemed corps de ballet. Undeterred by this setback, she made the bold decision to hang up her dance shoes and trade them in for a career in modeling.
As a successful international model, Julienne's career took her on a whirlwind journey to numerous cities around the world, including Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Milan, Athens, Munich, Barcelona, Madrid, Tokyo, and Bangkok. London, with its vibrant cosmopolitan culture, held a special allure for her, and she made it her main home base for many years, eventually becoming a British citizen.
During her time in London, Julienne's entrepreneurial spirit led her to explore various ventures, including fashion styling, club promoting, singing, songwriting, and producing. Her big break came in 1998 when she auditioned for Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut, but instead landed the pivotal role of Mandy Curran in the film. This unexpected turn of events sent her life into a tailspin, and she soon found herself catapulted to the status of "It" girl in London, leading a life of glamour, parties, and paparazzi.
As her acting, voiceover, and music careers continued to flourish, Julienne's highlights included major roles in films such as House of 9 starring Dennis Hopper and Come Together starring James D'Arcy. On television, she was a series regular on the BBC comedy Too Much Sun, starring Mark Addy and Lee Majors, as well as a guest star on various shows, including the iconic UK institution, The Bill.
Meanwhile, her band Sophisticated Savage was busy recording and performing live, with Julienne singing, writing, and co-producing their album "Strange Paradise," now available on iTunes. Today, she is based mainly in Los Angeles, where she continues to work as an actor, voice artist, writer, and producer, and is also part of her new band, The Midnight Candy.
