Biography

Nilda Judith Thompson, better known as Judy Thompson, was born in San Mateo, California, and grew up in a free-spirited and eclectic environment, often surrounded by bikers, fortune tellers, and local musicians. Her childhood was marked by a love for the theatre, and she joined the local community playhouse at the tender age of 8.

Judy's first foray into the film industry was as an uncredited bikini model in Richard Benjamin's "Made in America". This experience sparked a desire to continue her dramatic studies, and in 1997, she landed her first lead screen role in the Cinemax film "Teach Me Tonight", playing the character of Janey. This role showcased her screen presence and earned her a small but loyal fan base.

However, Judy was determined not to be pigeonholed into a string of similar films and instead chose to focus on her craft by returning to San Francisco. She became a regular at the Shelton Studios, starring in several plays under the direction of Matt Shelton, including a production of Christopher Durang's "Beyond Therapy", in which she played the character of Prudence.

Judy's desire to broaden her talents led her to star in over 20 independent films, often playing characters that were twisted and deeply flawed. In 2006, she joined forces with talent agent Joan Spangler of Look Talent, which added modeling and commercial credits to her resume.

Judy's unconventional upbringing allowed her to develop a unique social network, with connections that spanned from cooking spaghetti for Mike Patton and the band Mr. Bungle to attending the opening night of the San Francisco Opera and making the front page of the Chronicle's "Datebook" section.

In 2008, Judy made the bold move to Los Angeles on the advice of her close friend, Alan Spencer, the writer and creator of the 80's hit show "Sledge Hammer". He claimed that if she were living in Los Angeles, she would be working.

In 2010, Judy was cast as a non-sex actress to play the lead in a Digital Playground all-female erotic series, written and directed by Kay Brandt. The series, titled "Cherry", is due to be released on April 26th, 2011, and will be rated R and XXX. Behind-the-scenes footage of the series can be viewed on Digital Playground.

Judy continues to work as a non-union actress and model in both Los Angeles and San Francisco, always pushing herself to take on new and challenging roles.
