Juan Gil is a native of Los Angeles, California, and was raised in Palmdale, California, just north of the city. His parents, of Dominican descent, have roots in La Romana, Dominican Republic, which is a significant part of his heritage.
Growing up, Juan was an active and athletic individual who showed a great deal of skill in basketball. He was even recognized as All-League in high school and was recruited by Pierce College to play basketball. However, it was during his time in college that Juan discovered his passion for the arts.
By chance, he joined an acting class and found himself falling in love with the craft. It was through the Breaking Through Workshop that Juan found his true passion and made the decision to pursue acting as a full-time career. Shortly after, he also began modeling and has since risen to become a top choice for many renowned photographers in the world of fashion.
