Following his collegiate experience, Juan Carlos made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where he had the opportunity to work with renowned commercial directors Joe Public and learn the ins and outs of the film industry.
Juan Carlos's professional journey took an exciting turn when he co-produced a documentary about the birth of hip hop in Cuba, titled "East of Havana," alongside the talented Charlize Theron and his sister, Jauretsi Saizarbitoria.
In the years that followed, Juan Carlos continued to navigate the television and documentary worlds, leveraging his bilingual skills to direct the series "Welcome to Los Vargas" for the Mun2 network.
