J.R. Ritcherson, a talented actor from Madison, Wisconsin, has been pursuing his passion for acting for most of his life. From a young age, he was inspired by industry greats such as Denzel Washington, Will Smith, and Sidney Poitier, who he admired for their dedication to their craft.
After graduating from The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in May 2009 and Adelphi University in New York in May 2011, Ritcherson began touring with a Minnesota children's theatre company, Climb Theatre. During this time, he landed lead roles in two independent feature films, "My Senior Year" and "The Body of Real Things."
In July 2012, Ritcherson made the move to Los Angeles to further his acting career. He quickly gained momentum, booking roles on three web-series: the hilarious comedy "I Hate My Co-Worker," an environmental show for kids called "Smarty Pants," and a satirical show called "Concerned Citizens."
Ritcherson's work can also be seen on public access channels in West Hollywood, where he serves as an anchor on the entertainment news show "Mayhem Entertainment." He has also appeared in a supporting role in the feature film "The Kid" and is currently filming season 2 of the hit comedy series "I Hate My Co-Worker." Additionally, he is set to star in a new horror/thriller movie called "The Hunter and The Hunted" as the lead role of Carlan, a cannibal.
Furthermore, Ritcherson has booked a lead role in the new edgy TV Pilot "The System," demonstrating his versatility and range as an actor. With his extensive experience in both film and television, Ritcherson is undoubtedly a rising star in the entertainment industry.
