JP Allen is a renowned writer and director, celebrated for his daring and intricate independent films. His most recent feature films have garnered widespread attention, including Memorizing Alison, released in 2025, and Girl in Golden Gate Park, which premiered in 2021. The Filmmaker, his 2018 release, added to his impressive repertoire, as did Love and Demons, Revisions, and Centaur, which debuted in 2011, 2016, and 2014, respectively.
Prior to his feature film success, Allen wrote, produced, and starred in the lead role of Stephanie's Image, a 2009 film featuring Academy Award-winning actress Melissa Leo.
