Biography

Here is the requested biography:

Born in the Italian section of East Boston, Scott Pilato's flair for performing was discovered quite by accident when he became an altar boy. He didn't realize his true passion for performance until his college years, where he began to hone his craft through acting classes at Emerson College and Suffolk University. Pilato credits both religion and law as his main influences for taking the leap of faith.

He began his career in New York City, where he was an original member of the Working Theatre and studied with luminaries such as Joe Chalkin, Kristin Linklatter, and Peter Kass. He also collaborated with Jersey Growtowski's Polish Laboratory Theatre. In the late 1970s, Pilato relocated to Pittsburgh, where he became a resident actor with the Pittsburgh Public Theatre and the Three Rivers Shakespeare Festival. He also worked as an acting coach at local colleges.

Pilato's career took an upswing when he became a member of the Pittsburgh Film Family and met George A. Romero, the Godfather of cult cinema. His first role was a small part in 'Dawn Of The Dead' as a police officer, followed by a small part in 'Knight Riders' as a disgruntled fair worker alongside Ed Harris. His signature role was as Captain Rhodes in 'Day Of The Dead,' which led to his memorable death scene.

Since his debut, Pilato's resume has grown to include roles in Ron Howard's 'Gung Ho,' Charlie Peter's 'Music From Another Room,' and Quentin Tarantino's 'Pulp Fiction' as Dean Martin, as well as cult fare such as Bob Kurtzman's 'The Demolitionist' and 'Wishmaster,' 'Alienators,' 'The Ghouls,' 'Last Seduction,' and Zebediah de Soto's 'Wardog.' He has also done voiceover work, including Metal Greymon in the children's animated series 'Digimon.'
