José Lisardo Suárez Sánchez, a renowned Spanish actor, was born on September 9th, 1919, in Trubia, Asturias, Spain. He was raised in Oviedo until his family relocated to Logroño in 1927. His life took a dramatic turn in 1935 when his father passed away, prompting him to drop out of school and seek employment at the tender age of 16.
