Jorge Ameer is a multi-talented individual with a career spanning over four decades. Born in the late 1970s, Ameer began his professional journey at the age of 18, when he was selected to participate in the Walt Disney College Program. He worked in the marketing departments of major film studios, including New Line Cinema, Paramount, and Columbia Pictures.

Ameer's early career was marked by his work as a story analyst for Richard Gere's production company and Wendy Finerman's productions at Tri Star Pictures. He also worked on various film projects, including "Panther," "Tales from the Hood," and "Friday." In addition, he made cameo appearances in his own films, including "The Truth Within," "Strippers," and "The Singing Forest."

In 1997, Ameer founded and executive directed the Continental Film Festival, a pioneering independent film festival held on the island of Contadora off the coast of Panama. The festival was a groundbreaking event that showcased films from around the world and helped launch the careers of many emerging filmmakers.

Throughout his career, Ameer has been a champion of independent and foreign films, particularly those that challenge social conventions and traditional values. He has produced, written, and directed numerous films, including "The Truth Within," "Strippers," "The Singing Forest," "Contadora is for Lovers," and "The House of Adam."
