Jonathon Ruckman, born John Edward Miller Jr., embarked on a transformative journey at the tender age of thirteen when he was adopted by his mother's late husband, Dean Ruckman, and took on his father's last name.
For nearly two decades, Jonathon immersed himself in the world of theater, honing his craft under the guidance of esteemed acting teachers. He studied under Paul Bergman, director of the renowned Center Stage and Hippodrome in Baltimore, Maryland, as well as Terry Schreiber, a celebrated Broadway director and founder of the Terry Schreiber School of Acting in New York City.
Initially, Jonathon pursued a degree in criminal justice, but a drama credit elective sparked a passion that would forever change the course of his life. His first booking, a national spot for the NFL, was a resounding success, and he soon found himself landing a guest starring role on the popular series "Stories of the Highway Patrol."
Jonathon's impressive resume boasts a wide range of notable performances, including "Corporate Affairs" alongside Breckin Meyer, "The Wire" with Officer McFarland, "Safe House" as David, "One Eyed Horse" as Dutch Logan, and "Sins of the Fathers" as David. Over the past decade, he has accumulated an impressive portfolio of commercials and independent films, including the critically acclaimed "Soulmate."
Most recently, Jonathon's work has been featured on the Discovery Channel and Lifetime Channel, with his performances captivating audiences around the world.
