Jonathan G. Rodriguez, a native of Brooklyn, New York, briefly attended The Juilliard School for the Performing Arts before being called to serve in the U.S. Marines Corps, where he earned an Honorable Discharge.
After his military service, Jonathan returned to the world of art, focusing on acting. He booked a role in a film in South Florida, which sparked his love for the region.
Following the completion of the film, Jonathan moved back to Brooklyn, but he and his family ultimately decided to relocate to South Florida, where he leveraged his union credentials to explore various aspects of the film and television industry.
As a SAG-AFTRA actor, model, stuntman, and voice-over talent, Jonathan quickly rose through the ranks, committing to the business and continually seeking opportunities to grow and improve his craft.
In addition to his work as an actor, Jonathan is also drawn to the production side of the industry, having produced a film and currently working on producing more projects, collaborating with investors to bring stories to life in and around South Florida, where he resides with his wife and children.
Jonathan's journey in the craft began in New York, where he recognized the importance of further training to achieve his goals. He took classes from the Acting School of South Florida and numerous other coaches, honing his skills in acting, voice-over, stunts, and more.
His big break came when he landed a role in the TV series "New York Undercover," earning him SAG-AFTRA status and paving the way for a successful career as a professional actor.
Jonathan's bilingualism, fluency in both English and Spanish, has enabled him to secure roles in various Spanish-language television shows and soaps, solidifying his position as a rising star in the industry.
Throughout his career, Jonathan has appeared in numerous commercials, including those for T-Mobile, Gatorade, Toyota, Florida Lottery, Volkswagen, and Dish-Latino, as well as in various TV series, such as "The Glades," "Burn Notice," and "Magic City."
On the big screen, Jonathan has starred in films like "Pain and Gain," "Fade Away," "Assumed Killer," and "Krissy Bell," among many others.
One of Jonathan's long-term goals is to work alongside his idols, including Jeremy Irons, Tom Wilkinson, Meryl Streep, Viola Davis, and Denzel Washington.
Currently, Jonathan is working on a new film production, with more projects on the horizon, as he continues to forge ahead in his career.
