John Wheeler, a talented singer and character actor, earned a bachelor's degree in Music from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.

As a television personality, he made notable appearances on several popular shows, including The Odd Couple, Green Acres, The Brady Bunch, and Star Trek, where he played the memorable role of the tellarite Gav in the episode "Journey To Babel".

Wheeler's impressive vocal talents led him to sing with the prestigious City Center Opera in New York, and he performed in notable productions such as Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel and Bernstein, Comden, and Green's Wonderful Town at the 1958 Brussels World's Fair.
