Biography

John Stimac, an American Voice Actor and Operatic Bass-Baritone, is renowned for his remarkable vocal diversity and distinctive Bladed and Booming timbre. Based in New York City, he has been actively involved in Voice Over and Live Radio Shows for esteemed organizations such as HBO, A&E, Funimation, Crunchy Roll, and Resounding LIVE. Additionally, John is the founder of Quixotech Audio and co-founder of Recording University, offering construction and consultation services for home recording studios, as well as VO Educational Seminars and Classes for both aspiring and professional clients.

As a resident actor for The Metropolitan Opera since 2012, John has had the privilege of working with internationally acclaimed directors such as Sir David McVicar, Phelim McDermott, and Bartlett Sher, due to his exceptional vocal, classical theatre, and stage combat training reputation.

Hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, John grew up surrounded by athletic and musical influences, which ultimately led him to pursue acting and vocal performance at Nebraska Wesleyan University. During his time at the university, he thrived in classical musical theatre.

Some of John's favorite roles include Don Quixote/The Man of La Mancha, Cinderella's Prince/Into the Woods, Father/Children of Eden, and Jamie Tyrone/Long Day's Journey into Night. After graduating, John played the role of William Herndon in the world premiere of Lincoln: Upon the Altar of Freedom, a bicentennial celebration about Abraham Lincoln.

John has also appeared in the TV series Gotham and Martin Scorsese's Vinyl.
