John Sinclair

John Sinclair was a rising young poet in the mid-1960s when he took on the responsibility of managing the Detroit rock band MC5. The band's music, which was heavily influenced by politics and its core audience of Yippies, aligned perfectly with Sinclair's own radical ideology. During this time, he became a founding member of the White Panther Party, a militant anti-racist socialist group that was directly related to the Black Panther Party.
