John Carluccio, an esteemed filmmaker, has garnered recognition for his captivating documentaries that shed light on understudied aspects of urban society.
His debut documentary, "Battle Sounds", made a notable premiere at the 1997 Biennial at the esteemed Whitney Museum of American Art. Furthermore, he served as an Associate Producer on the theatrical motion picture "Scratch", which received attention at the Sundance Film Festival in 2001.
In addition to his work as a filmmaker, John has also held a significant role at Dubspot music school, where he oversaw Development and Production. During his tenure, he produced an impressive 400 branded content videos and co-founded the Dubspot Original Programming arm, which spawned innovative web series and short documentaries.

Currently, John is working on the documentary "Maurice Hines: Bring Them Back", a poignant and captivating film that follows Maurice Hines, a charismatic and talented African-American entertainer, as he navigates the challenges of the entertainment industry while grappling with the loss of his younger brother, the renowned tap dance legend Gregory Hines.
